Moore Pleased with Cornell Scrimmage
When the Syracuse women's rowing team scrimmaged with Cornell Saturday, the result was a series of pieces separated by very narrow margins.
The 1V, 2V, 3V, A four and B four for each school did four 1,000-meter pieces and four 500-meter pieces in a day that head coach Justin Moore said took into account what both crews needed this early in the season.

"We got really fortunate with unbelievable water, and the crews were really well matched. The coxswains did a great job, and I think we had a really productive day."
The times bore out Moore's observation that the crews were evenly matched. In the 1V's 1,000-meter pieces, the slimmest margin was 0.2 seconds, and the greatest margin was 0.6 seconds. Cornell took three out of four 1,000-meter pieces. Syracuse won three out of four 500-meter pieces.
The 2V times were similar.
