The ECAC and Princeton University Men’s Rowing will be live video broadcasting the 2011 INTERCOLLEGIATE ROWING ASSOCIATION NATIONALS (IRA) CHAMPIONSHIPS. After a successful ‘BETA’ test with a two camera system at the EARC Sprints in Worcester on May 15th, a decision was made to move forward and expand coverage to an integrated four camera system for the IRA Championships. Two camera’s ‘on the water,’ a camera positioned atop the Camden County Boathouse, and a finish line camera, will provided wire to wire coverage of ALL racing June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, from the Cooper River. This continues to be a work in progress; learning from the experience to broadcast “live” all three days of the 2011 IRA Championships we hope to extend the service to most if not all ECAC Affiliated Rowing Championships in 2012.
