Robert T. Emery, 93, of Spaulding Lane died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Kingston Hospital. Born March 25, 1917 in Bridgeport, CT. He was the son of the late Robert and Ethel Torrey Emery. A Veteran of the U.S. Army he served during World War II where he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon. He was a Graduate of Syracuse University where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Education. While at Syracuse he was a member of the Varsity Crew Team. Upon his discharge from the service he was hired at Saugerties Senior High School where he taught in the Science Department from 1946-1981. He was a member of the Saugerties Teachers Association, the Saugerties United Methodist Church and the Tuesday Club at the Church. Predeceased by his wife, Jean, survivors include one son, Robert A. Emery of Albany. He was predeceased by a Son: Scott W. Emery. His Funeral Procession formed Tuesday, February 15, at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home.
